By submitting, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

What you get on the call

A yes or a no on whether the Operating Leverage Audit fits. Honest assessment of your workflow situation. Direct answers to whatever you ask. No pitch deck.

What we will not do

Not a sales call. We will not pitch software, name vendors, recommend a tool, or push you into the Audit if the fit is wrong. We will not run past thirty minutes unless you ask us to.

What happens after

If the fit is there, a one-page scoping summary inside forty-eight hours. Audit kicks off the following Monday. If the fit is wrong, we tell you on the call and the conversation ends cleanly.

Prefer to write first

Email inquiry@vaival.com with a one-paragraph description of the workflow you want to talk about. We respond inside one business day.

What happens on the call

Thirty minutes. Three beats. Hard stop.

No script-reading. The call follows the same shape every time so you know what to expect.

You talk Minutes 1 to 10

Tell us about the workflow

What workflow has cost you the most when it has slipped. The numbers your team and your bank already track on it. Who runs it today. What you have already tried.

We probe Minutes 11 to 25

Test the fit

Direct questions about where the work actually breaks. What you have control over. Where AI might help and where it cannot. What follow-on path the situation points toward.

Honest call Minutes 26 to 30

Recommendation, on the spot

Audit, Sprint without an Audit, partner referral, or no-go. Whatever the answer is, you leave the call knowing it. If it is yes, you get the scoping summary inside forty-eight hours.

Before the call

You do not need to prepare. Three thoughts make the call better.

You do not need a deck. You do not need a list of pain points already organized. You do not need to know which workflow to point at first. The call is the surface where we find that with you. Bringing one or two of the prompts below in your head sharpens the conversation.

Name the workflow that hurts most.

Pay-app, retainage, bid-to-award handoff, RFI aging, WIP reconciliation, renewal motion, billing exceptions. The one that has cost you the most when it has slipped.

Name the cost.

In numbers your team and your bank already track. Days of cash, cycle time, exception rate, dollar value of slips. A rough number is fine. We are not auditing the number on the call.

Name what you have tried.

New software. New hire. Consultant who left a methodology. AI tool that did not stick. Whatever you have already tried that did not move the needle. This shortens the call by half.

Common questions about the call

Six questions buyers ask before booking.

Is this a sales call?
No. The call is a fit-check. We will not pitch software, name vendors, recommend a tool, or push you into the Audit if the fit is wrong. If we cannot help, we say so on the call and the conversation ends cleanly. The Audit, when it does happen, is paid because the work inside the engagement is real. The first call is free because the fit-check is not the work.
Will you push me into the Audit?
No. Sometimes the right next step is a Workflow Leverage Sprint scoped tightly enough that the Audit is overkill. Sometimes the right next step is your team running the diagnostic internally. Sometimes the right next step is a partner referral to a firm we trust. Sometimes the right next step is no-go. We say which one on the call.
Do you record the call?
Only if you ask us to. The default is no recording, notes taken by the operator on the call, retained internally for follow-up, deleted on request.
What if my business is outside the $15M to $100M band?
The Audit is calibrated for that band because that is where the workflow drag we diagnose is sharpest. If you are smaller, the Audit may not pay back, and we will say so on the call. If you are larger, the Audit still works but the scope and price band shift; we will name that on the call too. Either way, the call itself is free and gives you a clear answer.
Can I bring my team on the call?
Yes. If you want your senior PM, operations lead, or controller on the call, mention it in the form and we will calendar accordingly. The first call usually stays one-on-one because thirty minutes is short, but we will run it the way you want.
Will you sign an NDA before the call?
Yes. If you want a mutual NDA in place before the call, send us your template or request ours via the form. Vaival has a standard mutual NDA used by default. We aim to execute inside one business day so the call can proceed on the original schedule.
